The cushion fillers are made of kapok, a natural, cellulosic fibre. The fibre is extracted from the seed of the Bombax ceiba tree, which is also commonly known as red silk cotton tree or kapok. Each part of the kapok tree, including the bark, flowers and leaves, has therapeutic properties. As kapok fibre is moisture resistant, light-weight, lustrous, resilient and quick-drying, it is an excellent stuffing for pillows, mattress and upholstery.
