To red and pink roses
" He worried for his unrequited love. He could never muster the courage to tell her. But, he tried his best to show her. Within the rules of their arranged marriage, under the scrutinizing eyes of his regressive mom, he shared the household burden as much as he could. His meek nature did not allow him to venture further than that. So, one day he gave up and he started growing a rose garden instead. He watered the plants muttering love poems and he saw the reflected beauty of his wife amidst the morning dew on the flowers. In one instant, as she was helping him with the pruning, their eyes met briefly and nothing was left unsaid after that. What blossomed beautifully, just as silently, in the garden were not just the red and pink roses. It was a romance like no other!
The two most popular shades of roses come together in this absolutely delightful saree. The soft handloom cotton drapes elegantly and the beautiful tassels give off a dainty vibe that is hard to resist! "
The handloom cotton is a type of fabric that is woven using hand operated looms. Two sets of interlacing yarns, the warp (length) and weft (width), are woven on a mechanised loom operated by weavers. These looms do not use electricity. Human handling lends the fabrics a unique feel and renders the fabrics more value. The resultant fabric is softer, more durable and much more comfortable than machine-made fabrics. Handloom cotton is more breathable and thus feels lighter in summers and provides more insulation in winters. The dyeing process also becomes easier for handloom cotton as the colour penetration is substantially more. Hues are absorbed better thus look resplendent on handloom cotton.
The art of hand weaving is labour intensive and takes a longer time. But, the beauty it adds to the fabric is priceless. Choosing handloom cotton supports the rich weaving heritage of India and lets the weavers carry on the precious art-form to the future generations as well.
