As I sat watching the rain slap in ragged gusts against the windowpane, my imagination was flying and darting around in panicked zigzags! I was alone at the café that evening, sipping coffee and reading. Usually around this time, nobody else was around — which worked out perfectly for me. The old lady who ran the coffee shop served her last cup for the day and prepared to lock the place up. By the time she was done buying what she came in for, she gently looked up and in that brief moment when our eyes met I saw a face as vibrant as the glowing moon on that fateful night. From that moment on not a single one was spent without knowing and appreciating our love for each other. Both our hearts were full of love but lives incomplete. She walked in that day and made us whole.
