This tension usually shot up in the morning hours when her mother, grandmother and aunties slipped into their Anjali looks. Whatever they wore, they looked dreamy.

She wondered if the occasion they dressed up for play a trick. Because Anjoli, the chanting and coming together in prayers, always brought out her sincerest sentiments.
