She carried joy like a radiant banner, her very presence ignited smiles. Her laughter was a symphony that played on hearts, spreading like wildfire. Her joy wasn't just infectious; it was victorious, conquering gloom with every peal of mirth. Like a beacon, she guided others through storms, reminding them that even amidst adversity, happiness was a choice. Her spirit danced like confetti in the wind, infusing life with colour. Every challenge she faced was met with an unwavering spirit, an emblem of triumph. In her, people found not just a friend but a living embodiment of radiant positivity.
Be your radiant, most joyful self, when you wear this striking red saree made of Kota cotton, featuring hand-embroidered Chikankari work.
Kota cotton fabric is renowned for its softness, light weight and ease of wear. It is made using an open weave with fine checks, which are called ˜khats. This weave ensures that the resultant fabric is airy and comfortable. This Kota cotton fabric forms the base of these sarees, which are further embellished with Lucknowi chikankari work. Chikankari is a style of embroidery that has its roots in Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh. The word 'chikan' is derived from the Persian word 'chikeen'. In its most traditional form, chikankari work reflects the influence of the intricate carving patterns found in Mughal architecture. The legacy of chikan work in Lucknow dates back to more than 200 years.
