This plain white dupatta with delicate lace embellishments is made of feather-light viscose chiffon. Chiffon is a sheer, lustrous fabric that has typically been associated with elegance and luxury. A unique weaving method is employed to make chiffon, called the alternate S-and Z-twist. Yarn made into S-shapes is woven into yarn with Z-shapes, resulting in a slightly puckered fabric with a slightly textured appearance.

Viscose is produced from regenerated cellulose. It is a versatile fabric known for its softness, comfort and breathability, as well as the ease with which it can be draped. It can be dyed easily and is often used as a substitute for natural silk or cotton.
