Elegant. Ethereal. Eternal. Our brand-new collection of handloom Banarasi silk sarees is all of these and a little bit more. For, its holds within its silken skeins a beautiful little secret – a moth-inspired floral motif, an aberration in the typical floral and foliate designs that dot this craft’s landscape. Like the moth that grows out of an obscure cocoon, these sarees speak of an otherworldly transformation. Of evolution. Of change. These sarees have been woven by hand, with love, using the kaduwa technique. It takes our master weavers roughly two weeks to weave one saree. To ensure the finest weave, 1.5 times more silk has been used in the warp than is usual. The resultant sarees are thus extraordinary… in every way.
