As the dust settled and the air cleared, the tall skyscrapers and sweeping bridges dawned on her horizon. There was activity everywhere she looked “ people barking instructions into their cell phones, balancing tall lattes and laptops, jumping in and out of taxicabs, or rushing to and from their daily chores with a strange urgency. The city had a pulse and it was faster than anything shed ever witnessed. At once, she felt breathless and strangely overwhelmed. 

She paused and took a deep breath, and then began to process her surroundings. From the corner of her eye, she saw a hopeful musician busking on the street corner. On another, a group of residents had banded together to protest the cutting down of a historic tree. Through the window of a coffee shop, she noticed an architect sketching what would likely be one of the citys most coveted landmarks in the years to come. On the street markets, she saw vendors selling fruit, furniture, clothes and myriad other items in the hopes of securing a brighter future for generations to come.

The city was more than a mishmash of steel and concrete it was the culmination of several dreams. A place where the past and the future met, to create a glorious symphony. It was a place for dreamers and for hopefuls. It was a place where you could belong, if you knew what you were looking for. And when that realisation struck, the city collapsed into the most beautiful piece of fabric and draped itself around her “ her cloak of glory.

Viscose and modal are bio-based fibres derived from plants. They are extracted from a compound called cellulose, which lends stiffness and support to plants.
