This is a cotton cinnamon-hued saree with multi-coloured appliqué work hand-done with love!

This saree is made of a cotton fabric with hand-done appliqué work detailing.

Appliqué work lends a magical beauty to the fabric with ornamental needlework bringing together pieces of fabric onto the base fabric and resulting in unique designs. Smaller pieces of fabrics are used to sew designs on top of the larger fabric, creating a delightful kaleidoscope of patterns and colours. This technique was originally used to extend the life of fabrics and later evolved into an art-form by itself.
