As I sat watching the rain slap in ragged gusts against the windowpane, my imagination was flying and darting around in panicked zigzags! I was alone at the café that evening, sipping coffee and reading. Usually around this time, nobody else was around — which worked out perfectly for me. I always sounded confident around strangers — exchanging a smile, striking an interesting conversation, knowing exactly the right pace and tone to take it ahead came naturally to me. But not today. I took my own sweet time to soak in every bit of that fleeting moment from a strangely beautiful dream. By the time she was done buying what she came in for, she gently looked up and in that brief moment when our eyes met I saw a face as vibrant as the glowing moon on that fateful night. From that moment on not a single one was spent without knowing and appreciating our love for each other. Both our hearts were full of love but lives incomplete. She walked in that day and made us whole.
