Dear Diary,  

My heart is heavy. I cant believe Ive writing this but its time to move on and the mere thought of it is tearing me into two. When I moved to Mumbai two years ago, I didnt realise how quickly and yet how slowly my time here would pass. How easily Id meet people and how hard it would be to make friends. But also how easy it would be to nurture these friendships because we had so much in common. I didnt realise that Id grow to love the vada pav, the bhel puri, the pav bhaji, the long walks along Juhu beach, the stuck-in-time charm of Old Bombay, the fluttering and cooing of pigeons above my windowsill, the smell of the sea each time I approached it, the camaraderie that binds this city together and makes its many parts one until, disjointed whole. I didnt realise that when it was time to leave, I would be leaving behind a piece of my heart in Bombay. But the road ahead seems exciting and full of opportunities. I must look forward and not behind. But I will look back one last time, with a heart filled with gratitude and love. For the person that I am would not be without a piece of Bombay in her. And the person I will be will always have a piece of Bombay within her.

The mul cotton is what we call ˜made in heaven at Suta. Known in West Bengal as mul mul, the fabric is buttery soft and delicately beautiful. The weave of this fabric is very fine, and this lends a very fluid texture to it that makes draping it a breeze. It is truly like a hug that wraps you in its love!
