This is a handloom cotton saree with zari detailing
Handloom cotton is a type of fabric that is woven using hand operated looms. Two sets of interlacing yarns, the warp (length) and weft (width), are woven on a mechanised loom operated by weavers. These looms do not use electricity. Human handling lends the fabrics a unique feel and renders the fabrics more value. The resultant fabric is softer and much more comfortable than machine-made fabrics. Handloom cotton is more breathable and thus feels lighter in summers and is perfect for layering in winters.
The art of hand weaving is labour intensive and takes a longer time. But, the beauty it adds to the fabric is priceless. Choosing handloom cotton supports the rich weaving heritage of India and lets the weavers carry on the precious art-form to the future generations as well.

I am writing to express my utter disappointment with the product I received. If it were just the zari issue you menti oned, I might have let it go. But the color is dull and completely different from what was advertised, the fabric is not the same, and even the yellow tassel is off. This is far from the quality I expected.
Image shown only 1 defect but when I opened the whole saree and sharply screening the whole saree i found more than 3 defects it’s totally a waste of money from buying it in garage sale , it’s my worst experience ever with online shopping I don’t think I am going to consider Suta for shopping in future and just to add to this Suta has only 48 hrs return policy so if you miss to screen the saree within this period then they won’t return they are strictly following their rules for return even the client received saree with lot of defects. Thanks Suta for this experience!!
