All her life, she’d been fascinated by Kashmir – a place which poets described as the closest form of heaven on earth. She was beguiled by all things that the valley produced, from cashmere, to the distinctive woodwork and saffron, the most expensive spice in the world. She had faint memories of her only visit to Kashmir. At the time, she was only a toddler. Yet, her mind’s eye could still picture the pristine snow, the majestic peaks, the numbing cold, the beautiful flowers and the warm smiles that she’d encountered. And although it would be a while before she could recreate those memories again, she knew that she could always taste Kashmir on her lips, each time she sipped a cup of kesar kahwa.

Taste the warmth of your fondest memories, when you wear this beautiful purple saree made of modal viscose.

Viscose and modal are fibres derived from plants. They comprise a compound called cellulose, which lends stiffness and support to plants. This cellulose is extracted and then realigned, to create a fabric that is soft, durable and breathable. When both the fibres are combined, modal imparts lightness, and a fine feel to the fabric. Both the fibres are responsibly sourced and have a low carbon footprint.
