It was day just like any other. On the streets, bustling officegoers raced after the bus, while still-sleepy homemakers thronged around fruit and vegetable vendors, haggling their way to a good bargain. An enterprising snacks vendor was doing brisk business, doling out piping hot samosas, Vada pavs and various other delicacies. Amidst the chaos, the gleeful cries of young children reverberated from a neighbouring park. In a matter of minutes, the skies darkened with grey clouds, which burst to unleash a brief but intense spell of rain. While the grown-ups rushed for cover, the children played with even more vigour, jumping joyfully into the puddles. Unlike the grown-ups, they refused to be tamed. Like the wildflowers, they bloomed no matter the circumstances.

Handloom cotton is handwoven by our weavers on mechanical looms. The process is time and labour-intensive, using techniques that have been passed down across generations of artisans. The resultant fabric is extraordinarily soft, breathable and resilient, and also drapes very well. Using handloom cotton not only helps us to work with smaller weavers but also plays an important role in reducing the environmental footprint of the garments we produce.
